Social Justice Committee
The primary work of the Social Action Committee is to guide UUFF's participation in social and political justice activities. The committee:
- Educates the congregation in areas of national, state, and local social and political concern;
- Participates in "giving" programs to rectify social injustices;
- Sponsors and supports groups organized to deal with social problems;
- Provides opportunities for members and guests to participate in social service and environmental projects;
- Partners with other UUs and churches to act against social and political injustice; and
- Gains consensus on and publishes statements locally that represent the congregation's stance on social and political issues.
